My Pathway – the largest national Community Development Programme (CDP) provider in the country, together with Cater Care, and in association with Western Cape Regional Partnership Agreement and the Albatross Bay Resort in Weipa, are proud to announce the successful implementation of an employee training initiative.
The government funded CDP in the Western Cape, provides support for a Cleaning and Hospitality Services Training initiative to promote employment opportunities associated with the Amrun Project, and to further generate many new local jobs.
My Pathway arranged support from the Albatross Bay Resort, a respected family owned and operated business, to utilise the Weipa Motel as a training venue for 18 Indigenous potential employees registered with the CDP to participate in the program.
Cater Care committed to create a two-way learning initiative that shares business knowledge and expertise to build on the existing capabilities of trainees, subsequently increasing meaningful employment opportunity, support for professional growth, and to ultimately provide sustainable futures through education and employment.
Strategix Training Group was engaged to deliver training for Hospitality Services and Certificate III in Cleaning Operations (provided under the Queensland Department of Education and training’s Certificate 3 Guarantee program). Stategix and Cater Care then designed a six-week training program commencing in June 2016.
Strategix is a national training company with over 12 years’ experience and over 30,000 successful graduates. They are passionate about their programs which are focussed on assisting students to promote their industry employment opportunities, and encourage positive change in students’ lives through skills development.
Cater Care, My Pathways, Western Cape Regional Partnership Agreement, Strategix Training Academy and the Albatross Bay Resort are all proud to be supporting this training initiative to promote local employment opportunities.
