Last week, Jonathan Storer, Cater Care’s National Business Development Manager for Aged Care, attended the Innovation Transforming Aged Care (ITAC) Conference 2025, an event that brought together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to shape the future of aged care. Joined by Damian Jardine from Buylink Services (specialists in third-party procurement), and David McAuley from Care Food Co., innovators in texture-modified food, together engaged in discussions strengthening our presence as key solution providers in catering and procurement support for aged care facilities.
As a company committed to aged care innovation, Cater Care’s participation at ITAC reinforced our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of residents, particularly through our expertise in fresh, nutritious meals and our alignment with updated Aged Care Quality Standards. Cater Care ensures that aged care homes all over Australia receive high-quality, tailored food services that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
The ITAC Conference is pivotal for the industry, exploring technologies, leadership strategies, and research-driven solutions to improve aged care. Throughout the event, our team connected with sector leaders, exchanged insights on procurement and catering advancements, and showcased our approach to supporting residents with IDDSI-compliant meals and specialised dietary needs.
“It particularly reinforced that recurring theme of adaptability and forward thinking that’s become increasingly crucial with the changes in the aged care standards,” Jonathan Storer told us. “These are things that we really work on to make sure we provide exceptional food services that look good, taste good, and contribute to residents’ high quality of life.’
“ITAC 2025 was a fantastic opportunity to see first hand how the industry is approaching innovation and the use of tech to address the changing standards and the future of aged care services.”—Damian Jardine.
We look forward to continuing these conversations about aged care innovation and implementing solutions that enhance the aged care experience across Australia and support making meaningful mealtimes for all residents. See you next year!
