Our RISE – Health and Lifestyle program was one of only three shortlisted for the Community/Staff Engagement Award category in the recent Qld Mining Contractor Awards.
Although we didn’t take out top prize, we’re very proud that our program was recognised in this way as the field comprised more than 30 companies, many with multiple entries.
Jodie Currie, Director of the Bowen Basin Mining Club, said the competition confirmed the vital contribution that contractors and suppliers continued to make to Queensland’s mining sector.
“When we launched the awards we knew they would reveal some brilliant stories of enterprise, initiative and originality, as well as old-fashioned practicality and dedication,” she said.
“The entries confirmed the magnificent efforts contractors make to ensure Queensland’s mining projects are globally competitive and at the cutting edge of productivity.”
These awards recognise project excellence and achievements particular to the unique and highly competitive work environment of industry contractors.
We developed the RISE – Health and Lifestyle program to address the physical and mental health of our remote workforce. We’re proud to be setting high standards in workplace health and wellbeing.
