Cater Care, a 100% Australian owned and operated company, has been awarded the airport retail concession contract at Mackay Airport.
The new contract comes hot on the heels from finalising their acquisition of Spotless Group’s (ASX: SPO) airport concession business, that sees Cater Care become one of the largest airport concession operators in Australia.
Chief Operating Officer of Cater Care’s retail division, Rob Rutter, is pleased to have been awarded the contract so soon after finalising the acquisition and is excited by the opportunities at Mackay Airport and to be partnering with the North Queensland Airports group.

The introduction of two of Australia’s best loved brands in Red Rooster and Boost Juice will offer those in the airport a fresh alternative, whilst The Botanist Kitchen and Bar will bring its signature menu and ‘the region’s best breakfast’ to Mackay.
It will also showcase local Queensland ales and wines. No airport is complete without a place to grab a quick coffee, and we’re proud to be partnering with one of Queensland’s favourite boutique roasters Wolfe Coffee. Mackay Airport provides us an opportunity to further our representation in the region with this contract representing a significant component of our Northern Queensland business.” Mr. Rutter said.
Mackay Airport General Manager Rob Porter was impressed by Cater Care’s understanding of the market and the customised solution they put forward.
