 Cater Care is excited to announce that we’ll be hosting the Service Delivery Excellence Awards night on Friday the 18th of October, 2024.

The awards ceremony will be held at The Royal Exchange of Sydney from 6:30 PM.

 

The Event

Q: What time do I need to arrive at the event if I’m not travelling from the hotel with other Cater Care attendees? 

A: 6:30pm. 

Q: What is the venue address? 

A: The Royal Exchange of Sydney, 1 Gresham Street Sydney NSW 2000.

Q: What do I need to wear?

A: The dress code is cocktail i.e. suit.

Q: Can I share photos from the event on social media?

A: Yes, however please refer to Cater Care’s social media policy

RSVP

Q: How do I RSVP to the event?

A: Complete the Google form

Q: How do I notify you of any dietary considerations or restrictions, for me or my guest? 

A: Ensure you have completed the Google form sent out to capture you and your +1’s details.

Travel

Q: Who will book my flights and accommodation?

  • Accommodation will be organised for all attendees. The accommodation is the Sydney Harbour Marriot Hotel 
  • Flights – One of Cater Care’s administration team members will coordinate the individual flight bookings for all attendees (including +1’s). 
  • Use the google form to specify any travel preferences. Guests will be travelling with Cater Care’s preferred airline partner, Virgin Australia.
  • For those guests travelling by air, you will be booked to fly into Sydney on Friday and departing on Saturday. If you’d like to come down earlier or stay in Sydney longer you’ll need to specify your preference on the form. Please note that although your flights and accommodation on the Friday night are paid for, you’ll need to pay for any additional expenses you incur i.e. additional accommodation nights and meals.

Q: What time do I need to arrive at the airport for my flight/s?

A: Please refer to your booking confirmation for correct timings.

Transport

Q: How will I be transported to and from the airport in Sydney? 

  • We’ll be issuing Uber credits to transfer you from the Sydney airport to the hotel.
  • Alternatively, you can catch the train to the Circular Quay train station and walk the 300m to the hotel. If you take this option be sure to keep your receipts and complete an expense form on your return to work.

Q: How will I be transported to and from the hotel to the event venue?

A: Given the short distance from the hotel to the awards venue we’ll walk to the venue as a group. We’ll leave the hotel at 6.20pm.

Q: Is car parking available at the hotel?
A: There is no car parking available at the hotel. There is a Wilson car park on nearby Bent Street.

Costs

During your trip, Cater Care will cover the cost of:

  • The return flights to Sydney for you and your +1 (if required)
  • One night accommodation, including breakfast at the hotel Sydney Harbour Marriot Hotel 
  • Transport to and from the airport (both ways) at your point of origin. This will be through, either:
    • An Uber fare, which will be credited to your personal account, or
    • Paid parking at the airport for the 1 night you’re away that you can expense back

Costs to be covered by you, include:

  • Additional night(s) accommodation in Sydney, including any meals. (Please advise the team of any additional nights and we can book this on your behalf at a discounted rate, however you’ll pay to the hotel directly)  
  • Any food or beverage consumption not provided at the awards event or breakfast i.e. hotel bar, restaurant or mini-bar

Q: Will it affect my shift / hours of work?

  • The awards dinner is on Friday evening, which means you won’t be rostered to work Friday or Saturday.
  • Furthermore, for those that will be flying in from interstate that plan to stay on in Sydney (or arrive early) you’ll need to advise your manager so that they can plan accordingly, while be sure to stipulate your preferred flight dates using the google form.
