At Cater Care, we will work with our clients, local communities, contractors and suppliers to achieve sustainable environmental practices. We will work to continuously reduce the environmental footprint of our own operations. 

OUR COMMITMENT 

Cater Care is committed to minimising any adverse impact on the environment in which we work and contributing to environmental sustainability. 

• Through continual improvement, Cater Care seeks to contribute to sustainable development on our clients sites.
• Cater Care is committed to complying with all national, state, territory and local legislative requirements. 

Cater Care will measure the company’s environmental impact in the areas of energy consumption, waste generation and water consumption. We will set targets to minimise our current and future impact on the environment. We will share these targets and our performance with our employees, clients and customers. 

We will report transparently to our staff, our clients, local communities, contractors and suppliers on our goals, actions and achievements by utilising Cater Care communication methods including our Company newsletter, toolbox talks and the intranet. 

To achieve our objectives, Cater Care is committed to implementing a range of strategies and procedures, relevant to our operations and activities, that will result in: 

• Reduction in waste to landfill. 
• Reduction in greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere. 
• Reduction in packaging material provided to our operations. 
• Increased recycling and reuse of materials where practicable.

We shall strive to improve our environmental performance through implementation of our Sustainable Development and Environmental policies and procedures. Management is accountable for implementing this policy within their respective area of responsibility and is responsible for: 

• Complying with the Company’s environmental policies and standards; 
• Involvement in the development, promotion and implementation of environmental procedures; 
• Training employees and line managers in the competent performance of their assigned duties; and 
• Effectively use company resources to meet our environmental commitment. 

EMPLOYEE, CONTRACTOR AND SUPPLIER RESPONSIBILITY 

Employees, Contractors and Suppliers are to: 

• Comply with the Company’s policies, procedures and standards; 
• Report all known or observed environmental issues to their immediate supervisor or manager; 

 Actively support the company’s environmental program; and 

• Contribute ideas which improve our environmental performance.
